A Movement of Welcome
Refugee Week is a global festival celebrating the creativity, resilience, and contributions of people seeking sanctuary. It began in the UK in 1998 and takes place each June around World Refugee Day (June 20th).
Refugee Week Malta is the local edition of this growing global movement. Through a varied programme of events, activities, and campaigns, we create space for people from all walks of life to connect, reflect, and imagine new possibilities together.
We’re always learning, always expanding—open to new ideas, and to anyone who wants to take part. Everyone is welcome. We envision Malta as a place that reclaims its hospitable nature—strong as a community that welcomes.
